I don’t believe in defeat

Believe and take action to get what you believe. You are what you think. As you think defeat you tend to get it. Adopt the “I don’t believe in defeat attitude”.

Philippians 4:13 says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. As I said in the previous blog, life sometimes presents situations which seem insurmountable. It presents obstacles. You should know that all obstacles can be dealt with. Don’t be afraid of obstacles. Stand up to obstacles and forthrightly attack them. Faith is the chief quality you need.

Faith supplies staying power. There is no situation in which nobody has ever been before. The fact is that there are people who have overcome every conceivable difficult situation. There is no difficulty you cannot overcome.

Knowing that, always talk to your subconscious mind with “positiveness”. Avoid little negatives; root them out of your conversations. Deliberately say a positive word about everything. What we do with obstacles is directly determined by our mental attitude. Most of our obstacles, as a matter of fact, are mental in character. What you think about your obstacles largely determines what you do about them. Form a mental attitude that you can remove an obstacle and you will remove it.

If you have been long defeated by a difficulty, it is probably because you have told yourself for weeks, months or even years that there is nothing you can do about it. You have so emphasised your inability to yourself that your mind gradually accepted the conclusion upon which you have insisted, and when your mind is convinced, you are convinced, for as you think so are you.

It is rough because you think it is. In your mind you have decided that there is an obstacle which will cause you difficulty. The power to overcome this obstacle is still found in your mind. I believe that God has put in us the power to lift ourselves out of any obstacle. When we think victory, we get victory.

“The greatest factor in any undertaking is one’s belief about it” said William James. Thoreau also said “The secret of achievement is to hold a picture of a successful outcome in mind” Always say “Lord; I know I have a good mind and that I can get through any obstacle”. “I believe I am always divinely guided”. “I believe God will always make a way where there is no way”. “With God all things are possible”. “I don’t believe in defeat”.
