What are you expecting?

To expect is to regard something as likely to happen. If you expect the worst you will get the worst and if you expect the best you will get the best. I used to think that when you are expecting something, you simply wait and do nothing. I have come to learn that when you expect something good then you do the necessary actions to bring it to pass and likewise if you expect the worst then you won’t take action on anything.

This world is full of situations which may cause us to doubt whether we will emerge successfully. The Bible says in Mark 9:23, “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes”. I think Jesus was telling this man to change his mental habits to belief instead of disbelief. Jesus was telling him to be a believer.

When you believe, you bring everything into the realm of possibility. When you learn to believe, then that which has seemingly been impossible moves into the area of the possible. It is very easy to disbelieve, believing requires effort.

When you expect the best, you release a magnetic force in your mind which by a law of attraction tends to bring the best to you. The sustained expectation of the best sets in motion forces which cause the best to materialise. I have also come to learn that giving up happens in the mind when your mind lets go of something then you will not accomplish it. When you expect good, you should not let it leave your mind, hold on to it in your mind as you work towards it.

Always believe, expect, and then achieve. Nothing can stand in the way of the man who focuses his entire life/self on something. Expecting the best means that you put your whole heart into what you want to accomplish. Whatever you are doing, give it all you have got. Give every bit of yourself. “Hold nothing back. Most people are always keeping something in reserve” said Ace Percival. Because of that they never achieve the highest of which they are capable of.

It is what is in your heart, good or bad, strong or weak, that finally comes to you. “Beware of what you want for you will get it,” said Emerson. Know what your goal is. You cannot expect the best if you think aimlessly. Having no objective leads to no end. Expect success, not failure. What the mind profoundly expects it tends to receive. What you expect is what you actually want.

You need to also know that, everything in the Bible works if you believe in it and take action on it. As you confront the problems of life, affirm; I believe God gives me the power to attain what I really want. I expect the best and with God’s help, I will attain the best.
